Manila Zoo's elephant Mali deserves better
Over the last years I have been altogether 4 times at Manila Zoo. The first time was in 1995 (which was a night mare, so sad to see).
Second time in 2009 and since then every year.
Haven't been this year yet.
The zoo in itself improved quiet a bit. For the visitors, hardly for the animals.
Just now I saw a petition, again, in an article at GMA network (popular TV station) to release the elephant.
The picture below I took one year ago. Mali was given about 25 years ago by Sri Lanka to the Philippines. It's the only, lonely, elephant in the country.
