Shadows are not reflections
No problem as this is paradise. Not only for it's beauty and kind people. But there are so many great shots to take. Mornings and late afternoons are the best times in the tropics to grab your shots. This one was taken at around 05:45am along Legaspi Boulevard extension. It is a typical Filipino boat; the Banca. With outriggers at both sides very recognisable and can be used at open sea and shallow waters. Waiting for its owners to get started. Or maybe they were already finished picking up fish? Who knows...
What's pretty unique is that at sunrise shadows tend to fall the far side of a subject as the sun is obviously very low. As the light was very diffused due to overcast we only can see the banca's mirrored image; the reflections in the water. Nicely symmetric.
