Had a great scroll through Malate, took some interesting pictures of the all the hustle and bustle in this dynamic area where most foreigners stay during their travel through the Philippines.
Mostly young backpackers who use their necessary stay in Manila, as this is the hub to the provinces, to stay in the hostels here. Malate Pensionne the oldest and best known of all hostels. Unfortunately this hostel has become a victim of it's own success. The area attracted so much foreign traffic that other restaurants and hotels opened within meters. Now even famous already boxing legend Manny Pacquiao finished the construction, right next door of Malate Pensionne of a huge 35 floor condominium tower. Not very beautiful to say the least.

While approaching Roxas Boulevard I shot this picture. Within some nano-seconds all bells and whistles went off and security of the US Embassy came to me telling me off, saying this was absolutely a security issue and strictly forbidden.
As I was on public ground, one meter away from their wall I thanked for the information ans mentioned it wasn't applicable from my vintage point. Bye bye. And I just walked away.
